Halloween is our favorite holiday of the year—all the fun of decorating for Christmas without the (mostly self-imposed) stress of shopping and entertaining. We can get pretty carried away, indoors and out, and if you’re like us, here are few more ideas to add to your Halloween hauntings.

lace-wrapped pumpkins

Set out a porch or entry full of posh pumpkins with easy and fun no-carve ideas.

Halloween bookshelf with 3 shelves decorated with books and Halloween themed decorations

Whether you’re decorating for a ghoulish get-together or just adding some devilish drama to your living room, set the scene with a shelf (or two or three) filled with ethereal ephemera.

Halloween mantel

The best place to stage a sinister Halloween happening is on or around a natural focal point like a fireplace mantel. It’s a spot you and guests will congregate. Why not up the fright factor with a grouping of spine-chilling objects?

Two story house decorating for Halloween

Bring some bone-chilling excitement to your outdoor holiday decor with a crew of cavorting skeletons.

Mummy pillow on chaise in the corner of the halloween theme decorated library

Add a fright factor to your living room with a creepy corner starring an easy-to-make mummy pillow.

Pirate skeletons on a boat

We turned a front-yard obstruction into frightful outdoor Halloween decor with scurvy skeletons cavorting around a sea-worthy vessel.

Happy Halloween!
